Candles are an excellent option for you if you want to meditate in a room without harsh lighting. You may want to choose to close your blinds, especially if you find it easier to relax in the darkness like we do at bed time. Meditation is often done on the floor however, if you have a hard surface, such as a wooden or marble floor that can get cold, you will want to add a comfortable cushion or blanket of your choice to sit on. This means you can stay warm, making it easier for you to relax and drift into your meditation.
