What is white lighting?
White lighting is a psychic protection strategy that you can use to protect yourself and diffuse negative energy.
White light is the space within the universe that is where positive energies can be found. White light can be called upon by anyone for assistance, healing, and protection from negative energies or misaligned vibrations.
When you engage in white lighting yourself, you are taking steps to grow and renew your own positive energy, get rid of negative energy and rejuvenating your aura.
How do I perform white lighting?
There are a few things to consider with white lighting.
You need to visualise a white light
First you need to centre yourself to the earth. Then start by visualising the white light. Imagine a shield of light growing around you and believe that no negative energy or vibes can penetrate it. It helps to think about happiness, love, and anything else positive in your life – this will strengthen your white light. Recognise your breathing pattern – focus on breathing in the light and breathing out the dark and you’ll feel the light grow and surround you.
Keep negative thoughts at bay
The whole point of white lightning is to protect yourself from negative energy and fill your aura with positive, light energy. So the process isn’t going to work if your head is filled with negative thoughts, doubts, anxiety or worries. When you’re visualising your white light you need to clear your mind and only think positively. Getting stressed or frustrated will only hampen your efforts.
Find a safe space
White lighting works best when you do it in a space where you feel safe and comfortable. This is because you’re more likely to be able to focus and relax. Somewhere in your home usually works quite well or a regular spot outdoors (which will help with centring yourself to the earth).
When should I do white lighting?
There really are no rules when it comes to white lighting but people feel the most benefit when they are in the practice of white lighting themselves on a regular basis. You may feel like you only need to do it after a certain event or occurrence – maybe a particularly stressful week at work? Or you may want to incorporate it into your regular meditation & healing practice. As with anything spiritual, you should go off how you feel, so if you feel off balance or like your aura is clouded, give it a go!
